For the past few months, I’ve been immersed in building appie, a dynamic platform that connects high school and college students with gig economy opportunities. appie is designed for hourly workers in industries like hospitality, construction, retail, senior care, and events—all key sectors that thrive on flexible, part-time, and gig work. Our vision is to create an easy-to-use space where both job seekers and employers can match and thrive in the gig economy. Here’s a closer look at what Jenn Lee Group has been up to!

Finalizing the New Website & SEO Setup
We’re in the final stages of launching the new appie website, which will be a central hub for connecting gig workers and employers. As the website is being completed, the Jenn Lee Group is ensuring that SEO best practices are implemented right from the start. This will make it easy for potential users to find us online through search engines, helping employers and job seekers match more easily. Our SEO efforts are designed to give appie the visibility it needs to grow and compete in the gig economy.
Social Media: Organic and Paid Campaigns
I’ve set up appie’s social media across Snapchat, YouTube, X, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, where we’re running a combination of organic content and paid advertising campaigns. These ads are targeted at GenZ/students and those looking for flexible, hourly gig work. I’ve chosen and hired local content creators, how have helped building an online presence that resonates with the right audiences, ensuring authenticity and engagement.
As part of our next phase, I’ll be launching IG, YouTube and Google Ads campaigns, helping us reach even more job seekers and employers looking to match in the gig economy. These ad campaigns are geared to attract more sign-ups and showcase the benefits of using appie to find or fill hourly positions.
App Testing & Social Media Presence
In addition to website development, I’ve been heavily involved in testing the app to ensure it offers the best user experience. We’re perfecting features so both job seekers and employers can quickly find what they need. From browsing job opportunities to seamless applications, the appie app is designed to make the process smooth for everyone involved.
Strategizing and CRM Integration
Beyond social media, I’ve been working on integrating CRM software to streamline our sales and marketing efforts. This will help us manage relationships with both employers and job seekers as we grow, ensuring we keep all communications organized and effective.
Events, Networking, and Building Partnerships
Locally, I suggested events to attend for networking with business owners and community leaders to introduce them to appie. This hands-on approach has been key to building relationships and trust with employers who are looking for hourly workers. I’ve suggested a number of events to attend, and the response has been fantastic! Sign-ups are steadily increasing as word about appie spreads.
Launching in Rhode Island & National Expansion Plans
We’re excited to announce that appie’s pilot launch is happening right now in Rhode Island. This local launch is a critical testing phase for us, allowing us to fine-tune the platform before going nationwide. By summer 2025, we plan to take appie national, expanding our reach to help both students and hourly workers across the U.S. find flexible work in the gig economy.
We’re also preparing to roll out appie for Baby Boomers seeking hourly jobs. As more Baby Boomers look for flexible work, appie will cater to their needs as well, making it a multi-generational platform for both students and older workers looking for part-time or gig work.
Positioning appie Nationally
To ensure a smooth national rollout, I’ve started positioning appie with social college online groups across the U.S., creating a strong foundation for when we go live nationwide. These groups are key to spreading awareness and ensuring appie becomes a top platform for gig economy workers looking for their next opportunity.
As we continue to grow and expand, appie is quickly becoming a hub for gig economy workers. If you’re an employer in hospitality, construction, retail, senior care, or events, appie can help you find dedicated hourly employees to meet your needs. With the Jenn Lee Group behind the traditional/digital marketing, and SEO set up to boost our presence online, we’re well-positioned for a successful launch and national expansion. The future of hourly work is here—stay tuned! www.Getappie.com
